Why our ALCAT Food Allergy Test & Chemical Sensitivity Test?
Our ALCAT Food Allergy Test / Chemical Sensitivity Test, measures harmful immune reactions induced by commonly encountered foods, additives and environmental chemicals. It measures leukocyte cellular reactivity in whole blood. We test the immune systems response for delayed food allergies, food sensitivity, food intolerance and chemical intolerance through a variety of different pathways, not just one!
Our ALCAT test will tell you exactly which foods and chemicals are triggering your symptoms or conditions. We test for up to 200 foods, food additives, food colorings, environmental chemicals and molds. By testing the final common pathway of all pathogenic mechanisms, whether immune, non-immune or toxic, you can be assured that we will provide you with the most accurate results!
ALCAT Food Allergy Testing vs. IgE Food Allergy Testing
Our ALCAT food allergy Test identifies food intolerances and chemical sensitivities where the symptoms last for hours or days after ingested and the food intolerance symptoms are varied. Food intolerances affect over 80% of the population while less than 5% of people actually have IgE food allergies. Skin tests, RAST,or IgE blood tests do not detect delayed food allergies. They only measure the release of histamine or the presence of allergen specific IgE molecules.
ALCAT vs. IgG Tests
A traditional IgG test relies exclusively on only one immune pathway. The pathway used is serum levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG). A positive reading will only be indicated if the food is eaten on a regular basis. ALCAT is also considered a food intolerance test as well as a food sensitivity test because a food does NOT have to be eaten regularly to have a positive reading.
Many of today's health challenges are linked to food sensitivities. When foods contributing to food allergy symptoms are continually ingested, the body eventually revolts which results in “allergic” symptoms. The body recognizes certain foods as strange, hostile invaders and it reacts in an allergic manner. Some food sensitivity symptoms are: migraines, fibromyalgia and chronic pain, fatigue, insomnia, gastrointestinal disorders, eczema, hyperactivity, constant sinus congestion or weakened immune system, ADHD/ADD, premature aging, asthma and even obesity.
Food intolerance testing / food sensitivity testing is a great way to learn which foods you need to eliminate from your diet to feel better quickly! |
